What Are The Odds?

Another Praying Mantis? What are the odds of seeing three Praying Mantises in three weeks? The first in the new studio, the second at Codman and today I was in the dunes of Truro, painting with the Three Amigas, Kelley, Roz and Paula, when yet another Praying Mantis landed on my umbrella. Is this a sign? I'll post the painting on Just Painting when I finish it. Meanwhile here are the Three Amigas.

Uh oh....
Don't they eat their mates after mating? Be careful.
And
Is it true that if they spit in your eye(s), and they DO, spit, you can go blind? Again be careful.

I hope to see one of these appear in a painting soon. Heck, put one in all your paintings and then eveyone can play with your work...."Finding the Mantis".

Seems note-worthy, to your soul, nonetheless. :)
